Growing Instructions for Wheat Whiskers – Organic Cat Grass Kit
What’s Included:
- 5"x5" growing tray (with holes on top)
- Bottom watering tray (no holes)
- Organic wheat seeds
- Nutrient-rich soil
Step-by-Step Growing Guide:
1. Prepare the Tray:
- Fill the top tray (with holes) with moist soil, leaving about ½ inch from the top.
- Sprinkle seeds evenly across the soil, then cover them with a thin layer of soil (about ¼ inch). This helps prevent mold and ensures strong growth.
2. Watering:
- Bottom water only—pour water into the solid bottom tray and let the soil absorb it from below. Avoid overwatering; the soil should stay damp but not soggy.
3. Blackout Period (First 3 Days):
- Place the bottom tray upside down over the top tray to create a dark, humid environment. This helps seeds germinate faster.
- Keep in a warm spot (65–75°F is ideal).
4. After Germination (Day 4+):
- Remove the cover and move your Wheat Whiskers to a sunny spot (indirect light is best).
- Continue bottom watering as needed.
5. Harvesting for Your Cat (7–10 Days):
- Once the grass reaches 3–4 inches, your cat can enjoy it! Trim if needed, and replace every 2–3 weeks for fresh greens.
